About Me

Hi! I'm Jessica. From the time my parents read Dr. Seuss to me before I could read them myself, I was captivated by books. Discovering Anne of Green Gables and The Hobbit in middle school solidified me as a lifelong bibliophile. Authors became my personal heroes, and I even went so far as to write letters to them before the existence of email. 

This love of books and writing inspired me to pursue a degree in Communications and Professional Writing before going on to become a local magazine editor. Over the years I've written for and edited everything from religious to senior to wedding magazines!

My love for books remained constant though, inspiring to start my Bookstagram account under the handle @readbelievelove. In that space I not only connected with others who love books as much as I do, I also discovered a number of amazing indie writers. Their books and personal writing journeys were the push I needed to finally pen my first novel, A Match Made in Autumn, and launch my author account @jessicaboothauthor.

I love romance, magic, and happy endings, and it was my greatest hope to show that, even though life can be difficult, we can still find happiness in our families and, yes, even in love.

A Match Made in Autumn officially debuted October 18, 2022! The second interconnected standalone, A Picture Perfect Summer, published on June 20, 2023. I am now actively writing book three in the Ruston Romance series and look forward to writing many, many more books in the future!
